Recipe for the Best Greek Salad Dressing
Have you ever went to an Italian or Greek Restaurant, loved the salad and wish you could find the salad dressing?
Well look no further I have found one resturant's secret recipe that you can make yourself. It is so quick and easy. Believe me if I can do it, anyone can. I even won over my toughest critic, my mother. She loves it.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1-1/4 teaspoons pepper
- 1-1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1-1/4 teaspoons onion powder
- 1-1/4 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard
- 3/4 cup and 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- Directions
In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, basil, pepper, salt, onion powder, and Dijon-style mustard. Pour in the vinegar, and mix vigorously until well blended. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
- The salad dressing does not need to be refrigerated and is best when kept in an oil and vinegar jar such as one of these.
Don't leave out the Lettuce of your choice. (I prefer a romaine/spinach mix)
Tomatos
Cucumbers
Celery
Olives
Bell Peppers (green and/or red)
Pepperoncini
Feta Cheese (the most important part of the salad second to the delicious dressing you just made :)

Jennifer Garner stands up for my favorite Cause...CHILDREN
Actress Jennifer Garner helps launch six new SAVE THE CHILDREN U.S. program sites in her native West Virginia. |
Jennifer Garner who is Artistic Ambassador for SAVE THE CHILDREN seems to be such an amazing person. Not only is she a talented actress, wife to Ben Affleck and busy mother to 2 beautiful little girls, she is involved in my favorite cause... CHILDREN.
On November 18th Jennifer testfied before the Senate Subcommittee on Children and Families to advocate for deeper federal investments in early childhood education. She advocated for additional funding for Head Start and Child Care and Development Block Grant, which would fund innovative early childhood education programs.
Here is a video of Jennifer and her Mom Patricia Ann Garner who is an educator, speaking at a Press Conference for SAVE THE CHILDREN
This is a terrific example of letting your Celebrity be a strong voice for people who do not have a platform to speak up for themselves. Great job Jen!

My First Post is dedicated to my favorite Celebrity Fashion Inspiration-Halle Berry
Halle is the Epitome of classic elegance that never gets old. Her stylist can style her in the dark because she can put just about anything on. The main thing I love about her is that this women makes the clothes she wears and they don't make her. Here she is at the AFI Fest in a LBD by Elie Saab
I also love how she illuminates the fact that less is more, Here is her simple silver bracelet and Black Gucci Pumps.
In her own words she told Michael Yo from E! that the Gucci Pumps are from 2 Seasons ago.
She also says that Good Guccis never go bad. Now that's a girl after my own heart. I have nothing against people that have to have the latest "It" shoe, bag, etc. but then there are those of us who love classic items you can have for years when the fad items are long gone. See the Video below.
